Main Ring Entertainments for 2016 will include:
- Powys Forest Horses - Horse Logging demonstrations with Nick Burton and his Dutch Draft mare Elza. Nick and Elza carry out forestry contracts across mid-Wales and Shropshire and work in their own 28-acre woodland near Llanfair Caereinion, Welshpool - see pictures below
- Black Mountains Falconry - back again this year by popular demand with their exciting display of dramatic birds of prey
- Jim Devoy - local fly fisherman showing his skills and vast experience, we are again privileged to have Jim back after a very popular display last year
- Welsh Axemen - a thrilling display of tree felling and chopping skills with the added edge of competitive racing
- Abergavenny Borough Band, performing both in the main ring and elsewhere around the showground
We have a great line up of main ring entertainment for 2016 as well as cookery, foraging, bee keeping, spinning and shearing demonstrations. We also have a fantastic storyteller to remind us of our spoken heritage, and comedy from a brilliant local lad.
With a full programme all day (times will be listed below nearer the day) we hope you will be able to fit in everything you want to see and do alongside all of the competition classes and exhibition stands around the showground!
