With the sun shinning from early morning we couldn't have asked for a better start yesterday...and it just got better! The crowds came and we had to use our overflow car park (thanks to the lads from Crickhowell Rugby Club for doing such a great job); entertainment in the main ring kept everyone enthralled and the agricultural classes were keenly contested - entries were up on last year. We hope to see you all again next year...planning starts next week!
![]() We are delighted that Kate & Jim Beavan of Great Tre-rhew Farm, Llanvetherine opening our Show this year. Many of you will recognise them from the BBC Lambing Live series a few years back. We hope the Show won't be as hectic as lambing or filming with the BBC! We are all looking forward to Lynne Allbutt's pigs that will be attending the Show for the first time this year. How cute do they look?? [Check out the link to her site for some great porky-puns - how many will you spot?]
Lynne is going to be busy in Llangynidr this weekend as she is also creating a labyrinth on the Show field. I've included a pic of one that she has previously created. Visitors to the Show will be able to meander through the lines or race to the centre. ![]() All the forms you need to book a stand at the 2012 show are now available online. Grate rates - £25/stand or free if you are a local community group / not-for-profit organisation. Space in the Farmers' Market and Craft Marquee are limited, so book soon to guarantee a space. ![]() This year's Show Programme has been completed and is at the printers. It will soon be available from local suppliers around the area and best of all it is completely FREE. If you can't wait then look no further - all the info is now available here on the 2012 Show pages and the Programme is available in full to read online an print. |
